Hi, I’m Carmen…
My time as a youngster was spent on a small farm in rural Minnesota.
When I wasn’t playing with paint, paper, and crayons, I was wandering the countryside with my brothers and sister.
All that wandering has inspired me to become a curious creator and proven promoter of artsy projects that take us off the beaten path.
Inspiration is everywhere! I find it in:
- the night sky
- old and abandoned places
- a quiet cemetery
- the changing seasons

Do you offer in-person collage workshops?
I no longer offer in-person workshops. After downsizing my studio, I’ve shifted my focus to creating new artwork while helping others bring their artsy projects to life. You have worked on several books. Do you work with a book publisher?
I’ve self-published several books through Amazon. They may not be New York Times bestsellers, but each serves a purpose: preserving stories, documenting my work, or offering another way to experience my art.
